Every marathon is a declaration of regional culture, marathon medals too. Deconstructing and reorganizing the local landscape human elements is the core value of the main visual of the event.

The initial name of the event was “Shanghai Songjiang International Half Marathon”. We focused on the design of “Song” and used Chinese calligraphy to interpret the event logo on the basis of modern minimalist aesthetics. Through the redesign of the font, we hope to express a kind of vitality and tension in line with the marathon. Inspired by landscape paintings, we incorporated “Songjiang Ten Scenes” into it, which not only matched the Chinese style of the event logo, but also gave the lively rhythm of the picture.

Later, due to the establishment of the Yangtze River Delta Integrated Development Zone in China, the event was upgraded to “Shanghai Lushan International Half Marathon”, and the spirit of “G60” needs to be integrated into it.

Rich expression and integration into the spirit of "G60"

In addition to adding the relevant elements of the G60 to the main visual of the event, we also need to combine the G60 to create a new logo for the event.

The design of the new logo is based on the G60 typeface. The three characters are deconstructed and reorganized through the rhythm of the line to form a simple and dynamic graphic logo. Furthermore, we can feel the level of the scene, the extension of the road, the car's behavior and the dynamics of people.

a medal that blends multiple elements

The focus of this design is the “three-dimensional expression” of the plane. We integrate the event logo and various elements in the main visual on the three-dimensional medals, and assist the event organizers to make the landing. Transforming the ideal design concept into a physical object is a challenging process, and we need to make serious adjustments and trade-offs to meet the three-dimensional application.Converting the plane vision into a half-pound medal, breaking through again, is like running a marathon.
